My husband, Rich, and I are Chiropractors in Erie, CO. We met while in Chiropractic school in my hometown, Overland Park, KS, became close friends, and began dating a couple years before we graduated. Rich has a son, Eric, from a previous marriage, so it’s the 3 of us, a hamster, Faulkner, and a little lizard, Jake.
Before going to Chiropractic school I received a Business degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do after college so I became a chef’s apprentice at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, and then a Chef de Partie at Zin, an upscale restaurant also in Kansas City.
I would have stayed in cooking, but realized it wouldn’t be conducive to having a family and working the hours I wanted, so I applied to Chiropractic school. I had worked for a Chiropractor while I was going to Pepperdine and thought it would be a great fit for me.
So why start a blog? Am I that fascinating? I don’t know. Maybe not, but I’m interested in alot of things that you might find interesting too. I like cooking fast, healthy food, trying new restaurants, traveling, health and fitness tips, and being a good stepmom, wife, business owner, and doctor. I also plan on having friends of mine post to the blog about things they do and specialize in, and Rich and I also plan on having our own children so I’ll be going through that, and I’ll need tips from you too!
